Logan Copeland is the founder and lead instructor of Surgical Precision, a premier Long Range Shooting School based in Mobile, Alabama. Raised on a southern farm, Logan’s love for marksmanship began early, hunting small game with a .22LR and pellet rifle before progressing to larger game like deer and hogs. By the time he was a teenager, he’d mastered the fundamentals behind the trigger of a Remington 700 in .270 Winchester. His passion for precision led him to serve over a decade in the U.S. Military, where he spent the majority of his time as a Special Operations Combat Medic. Among his many achievements, Logan graduated the elite Special Forces Sniper Course (SFSC), gaining a reputation as both a surgical marksman and a quiet professional among his peers.

After transitioning from the military, Logan continued his work in the field by serving as a SWAT sniper team leader. He authored policy, developed advanced tactics, and led multi-agency training programs focused on real-world application of sniper skills. Today, Logan and his handpicked team of former military and law enforcement professionals offer world-class training to civilian shooters, with a focus on preparing modern backcountry hunters for long-distance engagements often exceeding 1,000 yards. Logan’s instruction bridges the gap between tactical precision and field-ready practicality, delivered by someone who’s lived both sides of the shot.
